Terms & Conditions for 2020

In order for your place to be accepted on the 2020 ETR, you must read and agree to the following terms and conditions:

More Than Running Ltd act as agents on behalf of the Everest Trail Race in respect of the event.

We take no responsibility for the event itself, its organisation or operation.

Everest Trail Race act as a principal in this matter and your contract is with them.

The ETR is run annually in November and is a multistage race of variable length – usually 160km.

The race organisers reserve the right to alter the length and format of the race at their discretion and at any time.

We are limited to the number of places available to persons residing in the following countries:
UK
Ireland

Team Entries

Competitors have the choice of entering as either individuals or as teams, a team being three or more members. Team members pay an additional registration fee (usually £100 per entrant) and in return a team ranking is recorded during the race so long as the team continues to have a minimum of three members.

Entry costs

The cost for entering the ETR 2020, for registration up until 30/08/21

WITH flight included 
£3,350

WITHOUT flight 
£2,570

Payments will be due as follows:

Deposit of £500 is due at time of registration.

Your second payment of £1,000 will be due on the 1st August 2020

The final balance will be due by 21st September 2020

Payments for instalments may be made by debit card or bank transfer only.

ALL PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE

What is included in the fee

• Return travel London, UK > Kathmandu, Nepal
• Transfers (arrival point / hotel / race start / hotel / departure point)
• Food during the race
• Hotel and all meals before and after the event
• Race entry fee
• During the race: water, medical team, ground assistance, minimal insurance
• Individual rankings, team rankings for registered teams
• Medal & t-shirt for those that complete the course

What is not included

• Comprehensive insurance (e.g. to cover cancellation, loss of items – we strongly recommend this)
• Evacuation / medical insurance – this is mandatory as a condition of entry
• Training costs
• Doctor’s fees (e.g for E.C.G and blood tests)
• Cash for extra ETR souvenirs or drinks and last minute purchases at the hotel

Entry Requirements

• Acceptance of these terms and conditions of booking
• Acceptance of the rules that apply to the race
• Deadlines for payments and all payment instalment must be met as itemised
• Deadlines for completion of registration forms must be kept (An online form to be completed after registration, followed by signed paper forms)
• Your contact details must be kept up-to-date
• A sealed letter addressed to the Medical Director for anyone undergoing term treatment for a chronic condition / disease.
• A STRESS ECG dated not more than 12 months prior to the race start, AND a standard ECG and medical certificate signed by a doctor not more than 30 days prior to the race start – all to be presented on the day before the race.

Cancellation

Unfortunately none of your payments are refundable – we strongly recommend that you take out insurance at the time of registration to cover cancellation.

In the event of cancellation of the race by the organisers, Everest Trail Race (the organisers) undertake to reimburse payments already received on your behalf for the race entry portion of the event. All other paid funds, including transfer, accommodation and administration will not be refunded.

Bookings & Payments

All payments made by cheque should be made payable to TTA Trustees (UK) Ltd / Trustees of Clients Monies of More Than RunningLtd. or paid directly into the More Than Running trustee account

When you pay you will be supplied with an ATOL Certificate. Please ask for it and check to

ensure that everything you booked (flights, hotels and other services) is listed on it.

INSURANCE

It is a requirement of race entry that you take out Helicopter Mountain Rescue Insurance, and provide the event organisers with proof of cover. (DOGTAG and BMC policies are both acceptable to organisers and provide comprehensive cover)

You will also be required to complete a Bail Bond, payment only to be taken as specified on the form.
